Getting The Attention Of The Class:  The teacher will raise an open palm to the class and say, "Give me five."  Upon seeing/hearing this signal, the student should

F - give the teacher full attention

I - get in their seats immediately

V - be very quiet

E - empty their hands

Restroom:  Students should attend to restroom needs between classes.
Lockers:  If needed, students should go to lockers between classes.
Bells:  School bells are for the teachers' information.  Students should remain in their seats until the teacher dismisses them.
Tardies:  when the bell rings, any student who is out of his/her seat is tardy.
Cursive Writing:  All work should be done in cursive writing unless otherwise specified by the teacher
Pencil Sharpening:  Pencils should be sharpened before the tardy bell rings.  if additional sharpening is necessary, it may not be done during class discussion or while the teacher is addressing the class.  Only one student at a time is allowed at the pencil sharpener.
Whittle:  Students must say in their seats during whittle.  Talking is allowed during commercials only.
Lunch Break:  Restroom needs should be taken care of downstairs, and students should report immediately to class after lunch.
Name Left By Substitute:  A student will receive an automatic lunch detention if a substitute leaves his/her name for misbehaving in class or not cooperating.
Items Brought To Class:  Students will be allowed to bring only the required items to class.  if a purse must be brought to class, it must be left in the designated area, not at the student's desk.
